Brian has practiced law for more than 16 years. Brian has split time working in-house with technology companies and working as a private attorney with small commercial/technology law firms. Brian has represented Eureka's legal needs for nearly seven years and recently joined the company full-time as general counsel.

He has significant experience helping address the full range of business risks and liabilities and is comfortable working directly and closely with company principals, management and decision-making teams to efficiently and cost-effectively identify, prioritize and resolve relevant legal and business issues. His focus areas include drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex customer, vendor and partner contracts, technology licensing, intellectual property development, protection and enforcement, corporate formation and governance and litigation management. Brian also has significant experience in real property matters, employment, insurance, collections, customer and vendor disputes, commercial litigation and business sales and acquisitions.

Brian is uniquely qualified to understand the needs and perspective of Eureka and works hard to represent and protect their legal interests in the best possible manner.

  • Brian is originally from Nebraska (Go Big Red). Attended Michigan (Go Blue) undergrad and Arizona State University College of Law. He has lived in Austin for 11 years and intends to stay in Texas for the rest of his life.
  • Brian has 3 children (10, 13, & 14) and spends much of his time outside of work attending his kids many activities and just hanging out with the large group of teenagers that love to congregate at his house. According to Brian, it keeps him young.
  • Brian's favorite place to be in Austin is somewhere between Mansfield Damn and the 360 Bridge about 30-45 minutes before sunset making one last ski run or taking in the beauty of Lake Austin with friends and family.
